For Mom and Baby Foundation Staff Excel at APHRC Grant Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya

From November 3rd to 6th, 2025, two key members of the For Mom and Baby Foundation team, Ngwashi Charlotte (Administrative and Finance Officer) and Mbah Larissa (Programs Officer), represented our organization at a prestigious event. They participated in the African Population and Health Research Center’s (APHRC) Good Grant Practice – Virtual Academy (GGP-VA) Proposal Writing Grant Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya.

Their attendance at this top-tier workshop was a remarkable achievement. Their participation was fully funded, a testament to the rigorous selection process they successfully navigated. This involved diligently completing necessary compliance courses and submitting comprehensive documentation. Earning these coveted slots demonstrated their dedication and commitment to excellence.

This investment in their professional growth is incredibly significant for the future of the For Mom and Baby Foundation. By attending the GGP-VA workshop, Charlotte and Larissa gained specialized knowledge that will critically enhance our capacity to secure vital funding. The skills they acquired in crafting expertly written, compliant, and compelling grant proposals will allow us to significantly expand the reach of our programs. Furthermore, this expertise will ensure we maintain the highest standards of accountability for every mother and baby we serve.

We extend our sincere and profound gratitude to our dedicated mentors at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Nigeria. Specifically, Prof. Joy Maina and Prof. Hafsah Ahmad provided invaluable guidance and support, which played a crucial role in making this enriching opportunity possible for our staff.
