Introducing Our Emergency Kits to Pregnant women during their Hospital Visit

FOMAB Team Visited the Buea Regional Hospital Antenatal Care Unit on Tuesday 18th July, 2023. Antenatal Care also known as Prenatal care is provided in the form of medical checkups, consisting of recommendations on managing a healthy lifestyle and the provision of medical information such as maternal physiological changes in pregnancy, biological changes, and prenatal nutrition including prenatal vitamins, which prevents potential health problems throughout the course of the pregnancy and promotes the mother and child’s health alike. We at FOMAB Foundation are advocates of proper ANC and always encourage our women to visit the hospital and respect their rendez vous.

With great collaboration from the ANC unit staff, the women were very attentive as we educated them on the importance of preparedness prior to delivery which was followed by the introduction of our Emergency kits. The women were intrigued by the well branded kit package and its content.

The team clearly had fun interacting with the pregnant women as they went ahead to further present the kit content as they took out each item in the kit and explained its use for the benefit of the pregnant women.

We aim to donate these kits to as many as possible pregnant women in our target rural communities. We need your support in doing so. Donate here
