Ashu Martha, our founder and Executive Director has been selected as a Young Midwife leader with the International Confederation of Midwives. She is the first Cameroonian Young Midwife Leader to be selected. She was selected for her outstanding efforts in improving and advocating for quality maternal and child health through For Mom And Baby (FOMAB) Foundation.
This is a program that aims at shaping and grooming young midwives to be outstanding leaders in their respective countries. Under this banner, she has carried out projects such as Reshaping Midwives Minds. Through this program, she represented Cameroon Midwives in Denmark during the International Labor and Birth Conference at Aarhus where she was selected to be part of a panel to talk about the current state of Midwifery in Cameroon.
Martha will use the knowledge gained from this leadership program to continue the good work that FOMAB Foundation is doing.
