Community Health Outreach Organized by FOMAB Foundation in the Buea Town Community

On Thursday 3rd August 2023, For Mom and Baby Foundation Team organized an outreach to the Buea Town Community which brought together Young girls and pregnant women from nine rural communities in this health area. The rural communities we impacted were precisely: Upper farms, bonalyonga, wondongo, stranger east, stranger west I, stranger west II, Upper wonyaemongo, vasingi, mukunda. This event held in the Community’s Hall.

This particular outreach is one of the most heart touching ones we have had so far as we met women who had little or nothing to care for themselves and their babies. We educated them on topics such as; Danger signs in Pregnancy, Signs of Labour, Importance of good hygiene and many more topics which they all were very interested in learning about.

We equally carried out some free test such as Blood sugar level testing, Weight Checks, Blood pressure checks, Urinalysis. The women were so happy as they assured us that they will from now on do their best to live a healthy and neat life so they can better care for their babies.

We further introduced our Emergency kits to them and at that point we donated a few to the most vulnerable amongst them thanks to the donations made by some people of good will. You can donate here if you wish to join us in impacting the lives of these women. Your support will be very much appreciated

We are so thankful to our community Health Workers and our Team of Volunteers for the incredible work they do in ensuring that pregnant women and babies get the best care and knowledge they can get to enable them make informed choices about their health.
